Why doesn't StayOn Pro work with My ISP?

If you are clicking on the 'On' button and your ISP still is disconnecting you, then your ISP isn't checking for inactivity, they are just disconnecting you after a set time period.  AOL sends a dialog  to the user that must be clicked to maintain the connection, APX every 46/47 minutes, if there is activity or not.  If StayOn Pro is used with AOL Setup AOL tab check mark must be selected.  

If you get a message box asking if you want to stay on line and StayOn Pro doesn't handle it please let us know and send us a screen capture of that message box.  To do this:

 ALT+ Print Screen keys at the same time will capture the message and if you open word or another graphics program it can be pasted in to it.  Then e-mail it to Support@StayOnPro.com with the ISP name and the operating system you are using.  We'll be happy to try to update your current copy of StayOn Pro to close that message box and add support for your ISP in future releases.

What is a System Tray?

When the program is working the lights in the tray (by the clock) will be flashing red and green. Usually located at the Bottom Right side of your Desk Top on the Task Bar.

To get the program to it's magic, after starting, is to use the Right Mouse button and Click once on the Icon that looks like a modem with a RC on top of it ( in the system tray by the clock opposite the start button). A Menu will pop up. Then use the Left mouse button to select 'ON'

What are the AOL Timer Titles for StayOn Pro?

AOL 3.0 currently is using "America Online" with out the quotes.

AOL 4.0/5.0 is using "America Online Timer" without the quotes.

I'm a Registered User. How do I upgrade?

This is a Free Upgrade to Registered Users of StayOn Pro!

To update your version :

bulletRight click on the StayOn Pro Icon in the System tray. A popup menu will appear select exit. (Important)
bulletUninstall StayOn Pro.
bulletReinstall StayOn Pro and start the program.
bulletIf the Registration Box appears. Copy the Registration # and paste it into the edit box.
bulletBe sure there isn't any spaces at the end of the key by cursing over to the end of the key and hitting delete.
bulletUse your mouse and press the enter button. (Important)

How Do I Set Up StayOn Pro?

The Configuration Wizard has added Simplicity to configuring StayOn Pro.  Note V4.0 No longer uses the Setup Wizard.  Technology advances have enabled us to have StayOn Pro auto detect your ISP and select the best configuration for your system!

Error Mesage StayOnPro.exe file is linked to missing  
export wininet.dll: internet GetConnectedState

Wininet is a system DLL file that seems to be missing on your system or is out of date. You will actually need 2 files Wininet.dll and shlwapi.dll 

You can fix this by upgrading Internet Explorer to 4.0 or Higher.
